Ideally, you have learned the following content at school and can apply it confidently:

  • Algebra (fractions, equivalence transformations, systems of equations)
  • Geometry (coordinates, line, plane, volume)
  • Trigonometry (sine, cosine, tangent)
  • Statistics (mean value)
  • Calculus (derivatives, integrals)
  • Logic (Boolean algebra, logic functions)
  • Calculating confidently with numbers, fractions, variables and vectors.

Complex numbers

Complex numbers go beyond the school curriculum and are not prior knowledge. They are introduced in the math modules and applied from EE2 onwards as the central calculation tool of AC circuit analysis and build on the trigonometry and algebra mentioned here.

Important!

If you know of or notice any gaps here, acquire the missing competences urgently and very soon in order to avoid problems!
