Overview of the course and the script
What will you be able to do at the end of this course? – The intended learning outcomes:
- You know fundamental electrical quantities, their units and quantity symbols, and you use them confidently in equations and calculations.
- You know fundamental electrical components, can name their properties and explain their functions.
- You can analyse simple DC networks, describe their functions and calculate characteristic quantities.
- You can explain the connections between the fundamentals learnt in this course and other areas of electrical engineering.
What requirements or prerequisites apply to this course?
- Prior knowledge: school knowledge at year 10 level (mathematics, physics, chemistry, German, English)
- Equipment: calculator (for exercises), computer or tablet for the script and notes
Who is this course for?
